It’s been nearly four years since the second season of Euphoria, and with fans eagerly awaiting the third, Sydney Sweeney, who plays Cassie, has just shared some exciting news.
Sydney Sweeney recently told Deadline that she finished filming her part for season 3 last week, after starting in February. She couldn’t share any details about what happens in the new season, but she seemed enthusiastic about it.
With production now complete, the drama is one step closer to its expected return. HBO previously announced a spring 2026 premiere, and this latest news suggests that timeline is still likely.
So, back in September, Bloys talked about what’s next for the show after season 3. There’s been a lot of buzz that this season might be the last, and he finally gave us some insight into those rumors.

When asked about the possibility of more seasons, he explained that it ultimately depends on the producers. He also noted that this show featured an unusually large number of well-known movie stars, something he hadn’t experienced before on any other project.
Scheduling is always tricky when actors are working on other projects, and these are some of the biggest stars of their generation, so it’s a challenge. However, I’m really looking forward to releasing the third season.
The third season will have eight episodes, and the main cast – including Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, Hunter Schafer, Eric Dane, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, Colman Domingo, and Sydney Sweeney – will all be returning.
Next up, Sweeney stars in the sports film Christy, which arrives in UK cinemas later this month. It’s already been released in the US, but didn’t perform well at the box office.
She’s also appearing in the psychological thriller The Housemaid, alongside Amanda Seyfried and Brandon Sklenar.
Euphoria is available to watch on Sky Atlantic and NOW with an Entertainment Membership.
