November can easily slip by, falling between spooky season and the busy holidays. It’s a great time to relax and enjoy some entertainment, like watching a new movie or revisiting an old favorite. Luckily, HBO Max has a fantastic lineup for November, including two brand new series, recent films from A24, and a total of 80 new titles to choose from.
Here’s a look at the most exciting movies and TV shows arriving on HBO Max in November 2025. You’ll also find a full schedule of everything new coming to the service and when you can start watching.
‘I Love LA’ (Season 1)
Available November 2
I just finished watching “I Love LA,” and it’s a really relatable look at a group of friends in their late twenties navigating life and careers in Los Angeles. The film centers around Maia, who’s trying to make it as a social media influencer, but things get complicated when a former friend, Tallulah, unexpectedly enters the scene. Their dynamic is fascinating – it’s not just a professional rivalry, but a really messy, personal one that throws Maia’s whole world off balance. It’s a fun, sometimes cringey, but ultimately insightful look at ambition and friendship in a city obsessed with image.
Rachel Sennott created, wrote, and stars in “I Love LA,” a new HBO series hoping to bring a unique and energetic voice to television. The show dives into the often scandalous world of LA influencers, offering a smart and funny look at their competitive and sometimes harmful environment. “I Love LA” premieres November 2nd on HBO Max, with new episodes released each week.
‘Materialists’ (2025)
Available on November 7
Celine Song, the director and writer of Past Lives, brings us Materialists, a story about Lucy Mason (Dakota Johnson), a New York matchmaker who has trouble finding love for herself. She thinks she’s found the one in Harry (Pedro Pascal), a charming and wealthy man, but her past resurfaces when her ex, John (Chris Evans), gets involved with one of her clients, forcing Lucy to confront their history.
The film Materialists is receiving praise for its actors, with one review from MovieWeb highlighting standout performances from Emma Thompson, who delivers what might be her best role yet, and Chris Evans, who shines as a charming New Yorker. Pedro Pascal also impresses in an unpredictable role. Described as a smart and thoughtful romantic comedy, Materialists could be the perfect choice for a cozy night in. You can start streaming it on HBO Max November 7th.
‘The Seduction’ (Season 1)
Available on November 14
With the tagline “To be the hero of your own story, you sometimes have to be the villain in others,” The Seduction offers a steamy look into the world of high-class courtesans in 1700s Paris. The film follows Isabelle de Merteuil (Anamaria Vartolomei) as she cleverly climbs the social ladder, driven by a desire for power after being scorned by the Vicomte de Valmont (Vincent Lacoste).
Inspired by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos’s classic novel Les Liaisons Dangereuses, The Seduction offers a fresh perspective on the story. This period drama delves into the sex, politics, and lavish lifestyles of the era, but through the eyes of a woman fighting against the established order. Viewers who enjoy historical dramas set in other countries will be captivated by the series’ opulent depiction of France and the intense power struggles within its wealthy class. The Seduction, an HBO Max original, will be available to stream in its entirety on November 14th.
‘Eddington’ (2025)
Available to Stream November 14
Ari Aster’s film, Eddington , reflects the anxieties and growing political tensions of the pandemic era. The story centers on a small town in New Mexico and the conflict between Sheriff Joe Cross (Joaquin Phoenix) and Mayor Ted Garcia (Pedro Pascal). Their disagreement stems from the mayor’s attempt to boost the town’s profile by implementing strict pandemic rules to attract tech companies, a move the sheriff opposes.
The movie Eddington didn’t perform well in theaters, and critics were divided on its quality. Julian Roman of MovieWeb criticized the film’s shift in tone, writing that its thoughtful and dark satire ultimately gave way to chaotic and senseless violence, feeling as though it came abruptly from nowhere.
Even though Eddington didn’t do well in theaters, it’s now available to stream, giving fans of Ari Aster and A24 the opportunity to watch it and form their own opinions. You can stream Eddington on HBO Max beginning November 14th.
