Next year, Saber Interactive will bring the first three Hitman games to PlayStation 5 as part of a remastered collection called Hitman Classic Trilogy Remastered.
The package will feature three games:
- Hitman: Codename 47
- Hitman 2: Silent Assassin
- Hitman: Contracts
So, the Blood Money game from the PS2 isn’t in this collection, which is a bit of a bummer. But don’t worry, you can still play it! It’s actually already available with Hitman: Absolution in the PS4 version called Hitman HD Enhanced Collection. I’ve got both and they play great!
As a longtime Hitman fan, I was so excited to hear that Hitman: Codename 47 is finally coming to consoles! While Hitman 2: Silent Assassin and Hitman: Contracts were on PS2, this is a first for the original Codename 47, as far as I know. It’s a little weird since Contracts kind of is a remake of the first game, but still – it’s awesome to see it on consoles!
These updated versions of the game will feature better-looking characters, surroundings, and details. You’ll also be able to switch between the original graphics and the new, improved ones with the press of a button.
You’ll also be able to use a photo mode to capture pictures of Agent 47 in action.
As I said earlier, this won’t be released until 2027, but you can watch an announcement trailer above.
