I suppose there are two stories here really.
After a long wait, Telltale Games has announced that The Wolf Among Us 2 will finally be released on the PlayStation 5 in 2027.
Inspired by the comic book series Fables, of course, here’s the blurb:
The Wolf Among Us 2 continues the story after the first game, bringing players back to Fabletown – a hidden community of fairytale creatures living in New York City. With rising conflicts and power plays, Snow White tries to keep the peace as new groups attempt to take control of the city’s criminal world.
A wave of violent crimes is tearing apart the already tense community of Fabletown, and Bigby Wolf, the town’s sheriff, is caught in the middle of a dangerous plot that extends into the city’s criminal network. With distrust growing and powerful enemies emerging, Bigby must find out what’s really happening and decide how far he’s willing to go – both as a lawman and as the Wolf he truly is.
If you can’t wait until 2027, don’t worry! A beautifully updated version of the first The Wolf Among Us game is coming out later this year as well.
This new version of the game will feature better graphics, more polished characters and settings, a modern user interface, and options to make it more accessible to all players. It also includes technical improvements like smoother animation, better sound, and higher resolution and frame rates.
There’ll also be an hour of bonus footage, including behind-the-scenes videos and cast interviews.
