Currently playing in theaters, the movie titled “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” offers a glimpse into an alternative design for the character of Reed Richards, portrayed by Pedro Pascal, through recently unveiled concept art.
What is shown off in The Fantastic Four concept art?
On Instagram, artists Ryan Meinerding and George Hull showcased unique concept designs for The Fantastic Four: First Steps project. Meinerding presented his vision of Marvel’s founding family’s “technological suits,” depicting the team in a group photo, with Pascal’s Reed Richards sporting a rugged beard in his design.
In contrast to this, Hull’s artwork offered glimpses of initial designs for what eventually became the appearance of Marvel Studio’s “Fantasticar.” According to Hull, the designers were seeking distinct visual elements from the vehicle, such as a bubble canopy, shiny accents, and so forth.
I can’t help but express my excitement about the star-studded lineup gracing The Fantastic Four: First Steps! As a fan, I’m particularly thrilled to see Pedro Pascal stepping into Reed Richards’ shoes, with Vanessa Kirby shining as Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn bringing Johnny Storm to life, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach embodying Ben Grimm.
The cosmic landscape of this film doesn’t end there! Ralph Ineson takes on the ominous Galactus, while Julia Garner will captivate us as Shalla-Bal/Silver Surfer. Moreover, Paul Walter Hauser, John Malkovich, and Natasha Lyonne have all been cast in roles that are currently being kept under wraps – talk about keeping us on the edge of our seats!
Against a colorful, futuristic-retro setting reminiscent of the 1960s, Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four: First Steps story unfolds, presenting the audience with Marvel’s original family – Reed Richards (Mister Fantastic), Sue Storm (Invisible Woman), Johnny Storm (Human Torch), and Ben Grimm (The Thing) – as they confront their toughest challenge to date.
On this project, Kevin Feige holds the role of a producer, with Louis D’Esposito, Grant Curtis, and Tim Lewis serving as executive producers. Mitch Bell collaborates as a co-producer, and the musical scores are created by Michael Giacchino.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps is out in theaters now.
