Both Far Cry 3 Classic Edition and Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon Classic Edition are getting a free update to run at a smoother 60 frames per second. This update will be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S starting January 21st. It’s likely that Far Cry Primal will receive the same update on that date as well. You can watch the trailer for Blood Dragon below, though it’s surprisingly not shown in 60 FPS.
Originally launched in 2013 as a retro 80s action game inspired by Far Cry 3, Blood Dragon puts you in the role of Sergeant Rex “Power” Colt, tasked with eliminating the dangerous Colonel Sloane. Though it streamlines some features from the original Far Cry 3 and features a more compact open world, the game was well-received for its funny tone, unique weapons, and the Blood Dragon creature itself, which players can use to take down enemies.
