While Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves may not have been a massive sales hit for SNK, it performed well enough to warrant a second wave of downloadable content.
The famous Japanese developer announced the news on X (formerly Twitter) today, though they haven’t shared any specifics yet.
“Season 2 begins in January 2026,” it said. “More will be revealed soon. Get ready and stay tuned.”
This suggests a new character could arrive as soon as next month, which is surprising considering today is also the end of Season 1 and the introduction of Mr. Big.
SNK hasn’t released any paid downloadable content so far, as the first year of extra content was available to everyone who bought the game. It seems they’re planning to generate revenue through DLC going forward.
Even though this release didn’t achieve massive commercial success, we genuinely enjoy it and are eager to find out which characters will be featured in Season 2.
