Completing an RPG like Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth requires a significant time commitment, so it’s astonishing to learn that director Naoki Hamaguchi has played through the game more than 40 times.
Even though Square Enix is still working on the final version of the remake, the lead developer says he’s completed the game many times. He specifically mentioned a ‘full playthrough,’ meaning he’s finished the entire game, including optional side quests and content.
Hamaguchi has done that over 40 times? We need to see his PS5 Profile playtime for proof.
In a recent interview with Nintendo Life, he expressed his excitement for players to finally experience the game. He and the development team are dedicated to making it a truly memorable experience.
He spends a lot of time working on – and enjoying – Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3. To de-stress, he sometimes gets off the train a few stops early and walks the remaining distance home. Otherwise, he rarely makes time to simply relax.
Hamaguchi is just living, breathing, and sleeping Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 at the moment.
Okay, awesome news! It sounds like Square Enix is finally getting ready to show off Part 3 of the RPG – they even have a name for it internally! Everyone’s hoping we’ll get to see it at Summer Game Fest next month, and honestly, I’m crossing my fingers that’s when it happens. It feels like we’ve been waiting forever!
Maybe the lead developer will have 60 clears of the game under his belt by then.
