Director Sam Raimi returns with “Send Help,” a unique and thrilling new movie starring Rachel McAdams and Dylan O’Brien. This is his first film since 2022’s “Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness,” and it’s a completely original story, though it draws inspiration from classics like “Misery” and “Cast Away.” The trailer shows the film starts as a dark comedy before quickly becoming a gripping survival horror experience.
In the film, McAdams stars as Linda Liddle, a quiet and unassuming office worker constantly belittled by her snobby and unpleasant boss, Bradley (played by O’Brien). After a plane crash leaves them stranded on a deserted island as the only survivors, the power dynamic shifts. Bradley’s controlling behavior finally pushes Linda to take charge, and she asserts herself as the new leader. The film’s trailer brilliantly sets up this wild combination of comedy and thrills, and I’m really excited to see it!
The new movie “Send Help” comes out in theaters on January 30th. Watch the trailer and tell me if you plan to see it!
