First Major Update for PS5’s NTE Will Let You Mute Its Worst Character

The first big update for the free-to-play open world game NTE arrives on June 3rd, and the biggest news is you’ll finally be able to silence the annoying character Taygedo – if you’re as tired of him as many players are.

The developers at Hotta Studio received a lot of complaints about a certain annoying character, and they’ve now removed its repetitive voice lines. Many players will be happy about that!

This update includes significant new content, including the previously revealed partnership with Porsche. Players can unlock the Porsche 918 Spyder and a special outfit for the main character, Zero, through a new gacha system that uses either Annulith or Fons as currency.

I’m so excited for the next update! We’re getting a brand new place to explore called Sunward Island, and a story mission called the Dreamwalk Corridor. Even better, we’re finally going to learn more about that mysterious group they’ve been hinting at – The Scarlet Letter! It sounds like we’ll be diving deeper into the world of Heathereau, which I’ve been waiting for!

I’m super excited because they’re adding two new characters to the game: Lacrimosa and Chaos! Each one comes with their own unique stuff to do in the open world, plus some cool new costumes. Lacrimosa especially has a ton of outfits – five different looks just for her!

Hotta is introducing new features to the game, including a social media feed. Players will be able to share photos and get likes, similar to how Instagram works in real life.

Two new online modes are coming soon: the Underground Circuit, a fast-paced racing game similar to Mario Kart, and Fight Club, an online fighting minigame. Both will let you compete with others online.

As a player, I’m really excited to hear that they’re planning lots of cool, limited-time events and bonuses throughout version 1.1! We’ll be getting things like double rewards and free pulls popping up regularly, which is awesome. It sounds like there will always be something new and fun happening!

Along with many bug fixes and performance improvements, the developers are also working to enhance the controller experience. They hope this update will make the game feel much smoother when played with a DualSense controller.
