LEGO consistently impresses its fans with new and unexpected building sets. Just recently, they released exciting Mario Kart and One Piece sets, and hinted at even more Mario sets coming next year. 2026 has already been a huge year with the launch of official Pokémon and The Legend of Zelda LEGO sets, along with a surprise set based on Project Hail Mary to tie in with the upcoming movie. LEGO always has something new in the works, and they may have just given us a glimpse of what’s next.
LEGO relies heavily on its LEGO Ideas platform as part of its yearly planning. This allows fans to vote for the sets they’d like to see become reality, letting the LEGO community help decide what gets produced. Popular sets that started as LEGO Ideas submissions include the Back to the Future Time Machine and the Jaws Orca boat. Last year, the platform approved a set from a major franchise LEGO hadn’t previously covered: Godzilla. Now, LEGO Magazine may have given us our first glimpse of the LEGO version of the iconic monster.
LEGO Godzilla May Have Finally Been Teased
Fans on the LEGO subreddit have spotted what appears to be the first image of a LEGO Godzilla set in the latest issue of LEGO Magazine. An ad featuring existing LEGO sets like a Bugatti and a jet from Batman v. Superman includes a background detail that strongly suggests Godzilla is looming over a city, possibly looking for something to destroy.
Potential hint towards Lego Godzilla coming soon

LEGO often gives hints about upcoming sets, and since the Godzilla set has been in development for a while, this early sneak peek isn’t surprising. The big question now is whether this Godzilla set will be a single release for fans, or if its popularity will lead to more Godzilla LEGO sets in the future.
Fans are wondering which version of Godzilla the new LEGO set will be based on – a more recent design or a classic one. It’s also unknown how large the Godzilla figure will be. Will it be huge, towering over other LEGO sets, or a smaller size designed to fit with buildings?
LEGO enthusiasts have another exciting set to look forward to: a Power Rangers build, which was recently confirmed. While we don’t know when the Godzilla set will be released, along with the Power Rangers set, both will surely please fans of these popular franchises, and maybe even inspire some imaginative battles on their LEGO shelves.
