Based on what we’ve played of Forza Horizon 6, it appears to be another incredibly fun and expansive open-world racing experience.
That remains true with its launch trailer, which comes days ahead of its arrival on Xbox and PC.
The game’s Japan setting looks fantastic, and the trailer gives us a taste of the many different locations and cars we’ll see, making us excited for the variety of races it offers.
Forza Horizon 5 was enjoyable, but it arrived on PlayStation 5 with a lot of extra content already available, which could be daunting for new players. Fortunately, Forza Horizon 6 is launching on PlayStation much sooner after its initial release on other platforms, offering a smoother and more streamlined experience for those joining the series on Sony’s console.
We’re hoping a more organized approach in this latest version will be a significant improvement.
Okay, so this game is open world, which is awesome, and you can just mess around if you want. But honestly, I really like how it makes you actually work your way up through the Horizon festival, earning better cars as you progress. It feels way more rewarding than the last game, where they just seemed to give you cars away all the time. This way, each new car feels like a real achievement!
We’ll need to experience the game on PS5 firsthand to get a full understanding, but early impressions are very positive. We’re hoping to learn the official release date soon.
