As a devoted cinema enthusiast who’s deeply rooted in the comics world, I can’t help but express my excitement about FOX potentially striking gold with a beloved comic book series. While Marvel Studios and DC Studios typically hog the spotlight when it comes to comic adaptations, we should never underestimate the high-quality content being churned out on cable TV. For many comics fans, the allure of theater fades in comparison to the comfort of consuming our favorite stories at home. Image Comics, a hub for creator-owned titles, is proving this point by transforming its series into TV shows and movies. Among the treasures hidden within Image’s vast library, FOX has chosen a gem for their small screen adaptation.
The thrilling Image Comics series “Proof,” penned by bestselling author Alex Grecian (known for “The Yard” and “Red Rabbit”) and illustrated by renowned artist Riley Rossmo (“Harley Quinn” and “The Moon Is Following Us”), is transitioning from comics to a crime-focused TV series on FOX. According to Image, the upcoming television adaptation has sparked renewed interest in the series, which is why they’re releasing the “Proof” Compendium trade paperback. This compilation includes all 28 issues of the original series, along with the “Proof: Endangered” mini-series, issues #1-5.
What Is the Proof Adaptation at FOX About?
Whenever a monster is spotted lurking in dense forests or hidden corners, there’s always someone required to investigate. John “Proof” Prufrock, along with his partner Ginger Brown, are employed by the enigmatic Lodge, dedicated to tracking down and capturing creatures like the Chupacabra, Springheel Jack, the Dover Demon, Thunderbirds, Mothman, Cottingley Fairies, and anything else that makes eerie noises at night. If you’re a believer in monsters, you’ll want Proof on your side.
Cory Goodman and Jeremy Lott are leading the production team for the TV series “Proof“, marking their first foray into television work. Additionally, they are involved in the development of the IDW Publishing adaptation of “Lore” at Warner Bros., with Dwayne Johnson set to star. Originally debuting in 2007, “Proof” spanned 33 issues. To coincide with the announcement of the Compendium, Image has revealed a fresh look for “Proof“, which is now available at comic book stores and digital platforms.

Image Comics made headlines with the disclosure that Franklin Jonas, previously known for his acting and singing roles on Disney Channel, is writing a spinoff of the comic series Lost Fantasy, penned by Curt Pires and illustrated by Luca Casalanguida. Jonas expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “Comics have been my heart’s deepest desire since before I discovered my talent in music. Writing a book was always a dream for me, and being associated with the captivating universe of Lost Fantasy feels like a tremendous honor.” Since its release, Jonas has been advocating for the series. When Curt Pires contacted him about collaborating on this enticing new venture, he eagerly accepted. Pires is renowned for his talent, and working with him has already proven to be an incredibly inspiring experience for Jonas. He can’t wait for people to delve into what they’ve been creating together.
