Free PlayStation Plus Game Hailed as “Masterpiece” by Subscribers

Some PlayStation Plus members on PS5 are calling a recently-available free game a “masterpiece.” The game, released in 2023 by developer Don’t Nod, usually costs $24.99. However, it was included with all PlayStation Plus subscriptions last year, and many players are just now discovering it.

Players on the PlayStation Plus subreddit are really enjoying Jusant, a puzzle platformer from Don’t Nod. The game has almost 9,000 reviews on the PlayStation Store with an average rating of 4.29 out of 5 stars (an 86 out of 100). While PS5 users generally rate it highly, many PlayStation Plus subscribers think Jusant deserves even more praise, calling it a “masterpiece.”

“Absolutely Superb”

One post calls Jusant a masterpiece, but advises players to stick with it through the initially frustrating first half-hour.

While one PlayStation Plus subscriber’s opinion isn’t significant on its own, the post gained a lot of attention, and many comments reflected the same viewpoint.

One player called the game a “100% masterpiece,” and shared that even after just five hours of playtime, they still think about how peaceful it was to play, mentioning it comes to mind about once a week.

One player shared, “I completely agree! I received this game as a free monthly title and was instantly hooked. I enjoyed it so much that I earned the platinum trophy – it’s a fantastic game.”

While not everyone agrees, many players mention the game’s tricky climbing system as a common issue. It can be hard to master, and as one player pointed out, it makes the beginning of the game a bit difficult. However, it’s worth persevering, as the game ultimately offers a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

If you got Jusant for free with PlayStation Plus last year but haven’t started playing, you can expect to finish it in around 4 to 6 hours. If you aim to complete everything, it’ll take closer to 8 hours. Plus, earning the Platinum Trophy isn’t too difficult.

Jusant is available at no cost to PlayStation Plus Monthly Games subscribers, but it’s not included with the Extra or Premium tiers right now. If you didn’t claim it when it was first offered, you’ll have to wait for another opportunity to get it.
