Free Ubisoft Game Just Stealth Released on PS Plus

A Ubisoft game has quietly become available on PlayStation Plus, offering it at no cost to many PS4 and PS5 players. However, it’s not included with all PlayStation Plus plans. Subscribers to the PS Plus Essential tier will need to upgrade to either PS Plus Extra or PS Plus Premium to play the Ubisoft game for free. Currently, it’s unclear how long the game will remain free through the subscription service.

Before the new free PS Plus games are released next week, PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members can now download Monopoly 2024 at no extra cost. This means subscribers don’t have to pay the $30 price for the 2024 edition. Besides being available with the mid- and top-tier Sony subscriptions, the game is also now part of the Ubisoft+ Classics library. However, players with a PS5 Pro will be let down to learn that this Ubisoft game doesn’t have any special improvements for the console, which is becoming a common trend for the high-end Sony system. To be honest, it’s hard to see how the game would significantly benefit from the PS5 Pro’s extra power anyway, as it isn’t a graphically intensive title and a higher frame rate or resolution isn’t particularly important to the gameplay.

Monopoly 2024 is the newest version of the classic board game, now available as a digital experience. However, if you’re not a dedicated Monopoly enthusiast, you might want to consider other options through PS Plus. Currently, it has a 3/5 rating on the PlayStation Store and only a 35% approval rating on Steam. Reviews frequently mention problems with the game’s stability, crashes, the AI having an unfair edge, and a lack of substantial content. When the game does work as intended, and players get to experience what’s available, PlayStation users generally seem to have a good time.

So, everyone’s worried Sony might hike up the price of PS Plus, and honestly, I’m hoping they add some *really* good games between now and the end of the year to make it worth it. But hey, they did just add one of the best PlayStation games *ever* to the service, which is awesome if you’re a PS4 or PS5 player and are looking for something new to dive into!
