Friday the 13th’s Game May Be Gone, But Jason Voorhees Is Back in Dead by Daylight

I’ll give credit where it’s due: Dead by Daylight has done a great job collecting a fantastic lineup of iconic horror villains. However, I personally find the game a little overwhelming and the community can be quite negative, making it hard to get into for new players.

The game will be almost complete on June 16th with the addition of Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th as a downloadable character.

This character used to be the main focus of a unique online game where players competed against each other, but unfortunately, the game was permanently closed in 2024.

Adding the iconic masked killer to Behaviour’s game has likely been challenging due to these factors and complex licensing problems.

But he’s almost here and fans are understandably freaking out.

If you’re not familiar with Dead by Daylight, just know that this new character is joining a group of iconic horror villains like Leatherface, Pinhead, and Chucky. It’s basically a chaotic fighting game filled with classic horror movie characters, much like Super Smash Bros!
