The anime series Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End just finished its second season, and Studio Madhouse has already announced a third! The new season will cover the popular ‘Golden Land Arc’ from the manga, where Frieren faces a challenge that reflects her own experiences. Because the manga is currently on hold due to the author’s health, Frieren is quickly becoming a huge hit in the anime world. And now, thanks to its growing popularity, fans will soon be able to enjoy a special experience – a chance to dine like the characters in the show.
Fans of the anime Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End will be excited to know that a special restaurant, “Restaurant of Memories,” is opening at Universal Studios Japan on May 30th. Universal Studios Japan has hosted themed restaurants for other popular anime like One Piece and Attack on Titan before. This Frieren restaurant will be open until January 11th of next year and will feature dishes inspired by the show’s characters, including Frieren’s Plate, Himmel’s Plate, and a dessert inspired by Fern. You can get a sneak peek at the restaurant here.
Frieren is Universal
In addition to a Frieren-themed restaurant, the anime series is getting special attractions at Universal Studios Japan’s Universal Cool Japan event. Guests can experience “Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Story Walk – Echoes of Adventure” and “Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End x Story Ride – Carriage Beneath The Bird Monster.” These attractions, along with the restaurant, will be available for a limited time as part of the larger event, which also features attractions based on other popular anime like Detective Conan and Jujutsu Kaisen. A Monster Hunter Wilds restaurant will also be available. While these attractions are confirmed for North America, One Piece and Jujutsu Kaisen have been featured at Universal theme parks in the West before.
Get ready to step into the world of Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End at Universal Studios Japan! A brand new, immersive attraction will take you on a journey through Frieren’s memories. You’ll explore the magical city of Äußerst on a huge screen and meet Frieren, Fern, and Stark. The experience uses special effects to create moments that are heartwarming, funny, exciting, and deeply emotional – bringing the story to life in a truly unforgettable way.
A third season of the Frieren anime is happening, but fans will have to wait until October of next year to watch it. That gives those who are new to the show plenty of time to start watching!
