After nearly ten years, the popular series Stranger Things ended with a huge showdown in the Abyss. But the story isn’t over! The heroes of Hawkins will return in a new animated spin-off, Stranger Things: Tales From ’85. This series is set between seasons 2 and 3 of the original Netflix show and promises a fresh adventure as the group faces a terrifying new monster hidden beneath their town’s snowy streets. They’ll need all their strength to survive!
The show follows the original group – Eleven, Mike, Lucas, Max, Dustin, and Will – though they’re now voiced by a different set of actors. Joining them is a new character, Nikki Baxter, who’s described as a tough and rebellious addition to the team. While trailers gave a first glimpse of Nikki, a new collection of Stranger Things: Tales From ’85 Funko Pop! figures offers a much clearer look at her and the entire group of friends who play Dungeons & Dragons.
The new Stranger Things: Tales From ’85 Funko Pop! figures (shown in the gallery above) feature animated versions of your favorite characters. You’ll find Eleven in her iconic pose, Mike with a souped-up hockey stick, Lucas with a homemade slingshot, and Max ready for a fight with a makeshift weapon. Dustin has a special gadget, and Will is prepared for action too. A standout figure is Nikki, sporting a punk-rock look with a pink mohawk and shaved eyebrow. She’s armed with a sword and ready to battle the Snowshark – a fearsome creature lurking in the snow, waiting to strike.
I’m so excited for the Stranger Things: Tales From ’85 animated series, and to get a sneak peek, Funko Pop! is releasing a new collection right around the show’s debut on Netflix! Developed by Eric Robles and the creators of Stranger Things (Matt and Ross Duffer), Stranger Things: Tales From ’85 is a new animated story set in the winter of 1985. It fills in the gap between Seasons 2 and 3, showing what the main characters were up to as they face a new monster and solve a strange mystery in their town. While Vecna and the Mind Flayer aren’t the main focus this time, the group will team up to fight a completely different threat – and based on the new Funko Pop! figures, they seem prepared for the challenge.
