Is Game of Thrones finally heading to the big screen?
For years, there have been rumors that the popular HBO series – including the original show, and its spin-offs like House of the Dragon and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms – might be adapted into a movie.
According to Page Six Hollywood, Beau Willimon, who previously worked on “House of Cards” and “Andor,” has finished a first draft of the script and submitted it to HBO’s parent company, Warner Bros Discovery. Sources say they are happy with the work.
According to a source, the upcoming film will tell the story of how Aegon I Targaryen, known as ‘The Conqueror,’ took control of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros.
The source explained that everything in ‘Game of Thrones’ originated with one person, but that person never actually appeared in any of the episodes.
The biggest challenge for the project’s future is the potential merger of streaming services HBO Max and Paramount+, as Paramount plans to acquire Warner Bros Discovery.
Warner Bros Discovery and Paramount have reached an agreement, but the deal still needs to be approved by regulators.
TopMob has reached out to Warner Bros Discovery for comment on the report.

This story is thoroughly explained in George R.R. Martin’s fictional history of the Targaryen family, a book called Fire and Blood.
Aegon Targaryen united the continent of Westeros and became its first king. He and his sister-wives, Visenya and Rhaenys, used their dragons to conquer the land and establish their rule.
These characters are the ancestors of the Targaryen family we see in House of the Dragon, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, and the main Game of Thrones story.

Aegon’s time as king was largely defined by a brutal war with Dorne, which remained an independent kingdom even after he claimed the Iron Throne.
The show House of the Dragon introduced the prophecy known as ‘Aegon’s dream,’ which could also appear in the upcoming movie and connect it to the events of the Game of Thrones series.
We recently got a thrilling preview of the third season of House of the Dragon, which portrays the Targaryen family’s brutal civil war, called the Dance of the Dragons. This season is adapted from the later parts of George R.R. Martin’s book, Fire and Blood.
