Game Of Thrones Universe’s New Release Is Officially Streaming On HBO Max

A new installment in the Game of Thrones universe has landed on HBO Max, and it’s perfect timing for fans. 2024 promises to be a strong year for Game of Thrones viewers. Although we haven’t received many details about the planned Game of Thrones sequel series, the franchise’s prequel stories are actively being released.

Early in 2026, a new Game of Thrones prequel, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, premiered to great excitement and quickly became popular worldwide on HBO and HBO Max. The six-episode fantasy show offered fans a more lighthearted take on Westeros with plenty of humor – something different for the series. However, future seasons will shift towards a darker atmosphere.

Following two popular seasons, House of the Dragon is gearing up for a third season, continuing the story started by Game of Thrones. According to reports, the new season will be even more intense and dramatic than what viewers have seen so far. Now that the Targaryen family is locked in a full-scale war, expect major character deaths and unexpected plot twists – even if you’re already familiar with the source material, Fire & Blood.

Just before the premiere of House of the Dragon season 3, HBO Max has added another installment from the Game of Thrones universe: the American Sign Language (ASL) version of House of the Dragon season 2. It became available on HBO Max this Monday, June 15th, and is part of a growing effort to make HBO series more accessible.

House Of The Dragon Returns To HBO Max With A New Release

As a critic, I’m really impressed with what HBO Max is doing to make their content more accessible. They’ve been releasing ASL versions of some seriously popular titles – think James Gunn’s Superman, the medical drama The Pitt starring Noah Wyle, the scary IT: Welcome to Derry, and the critically acclaimed The Last of Us, just to name a few. They started this great trend with House of the Dragon, releasing the ASL version of season one on May 29th, cleverly timed just before the debut of the ASL version for season two. It’s fantastic to see them opening up these worlds to a wider audience.

If you’re interested in watching the American Sign Language (ASL) version of House of the Dragon, it’s listed as a separate show on the streaming service, apart from the regular House of the Dragon series on HBO Max. Season 3 will premiere next Sunday, June 21st. Unlike last season, the ASL version of Season 3 will be available to stream on HBO Max on the same day the new episodes become available.

Now Is The Time To Catch Up On HBO’s House Of The Dragon In ASL

If you’re planning to watch House of the Dragon, both completed seasons are now available with season 3 premiering soon, making this the final chance to get caught up. The first episode of season 3 will air on HBO and HBO Max on June 21st at 9:00 PM Eastern Time, giving fans time to watch all 18 previous episodes before the new season begins.

To get ready for the premiere of House of the Dragon season 3 next Sunday, viewers can watch two or three episodes each night starting today, June 15th. This will give everyone time to finish both seasons of the show without feeling rushed. With season 3 already receiving very positive reviews (a 97% score on Rotten Tomatoes), it’s a great idea to catch up so you don’t miss out!
