GameOverse’s Next Release Is Here While Fans Eagerly Await Episode 2

I’ve been totally hooked by Glitch Production’s new series, Gameoverse! The first episode blew up, getting millions of views, and thankfully, we didn’t have to wait long for more. It’s amazing because the same team that brought us The Amazing Digital Circus created this really charming show. It feels like a total love letter to classic video games and anime, and honestly, it proves all the bigger studios that passed on it were way off! And the best part? They’re just getting started!

I recently checked out the pilot episode of Gameoverse, the new animated project from Ross O’Donovan, and let me tell you, the hype is real. You might recognize O’Donovan from his work online – he’s built quite a following – but this really showcases his skills as both an artist and a director. The fact that the pilot has already racked up over 20 million views on YouTube in under two weeks is proof that people are responding to his unique vision. It’s a seriously impressive debut!

The first episode of Gameoverse introduced its unique story: a group of quirky characters traveling through worlds inspired by different video game genres. While there’s no official word on future episodes yet, the talented animators and voice actors haven’t stopped creating hilarious new adventures with Kit the cat and her clumsy dinosaur friend, Gobbles. The concept definitely has a lot of potential for what’s to come.

New Gameoverse Shorts Help Soften The Wait For New Episodes

A new short featuring Kit and Gobbles is now available on the Glitch Productions X account. Though not a full episode of GameOverseer, the video includes brand new animation and performances from the original voice actors. The short centers around Gobbles the Learnosaurus (voiced by Arin Hanson) accidentally doing something he believes is terrible – and it’s proving to be a very funny moment for viewers.

The newest Gameoverse short features Kit (voiced by Erica Lindbeck) and Gobbles fending off a tiny metal dinosaur. Kit manages to kick the dinosaur into a robotic grinder, and as a reward, a treasure chest appears filled with Gameoverse merchandise figures – all of which are available for purchase on Glitch’s official store. Though it’s an advertisement, this short is a fun and creative example of marketing, a welcome change from many bland commercials.

The ad perfectly captures the show’s funny and endearing spirit when Gobbles spots the collectible figures and mistakenly believes they’re his friends who’ve been magically transformed. He frantically tries to save them, pulling them from a chest, but trips and sends them tumbling into a robotic grinder. The rest of the commercial highlights the available figures, all while Gobbles tearfully narrates, convinced he’s accidentally destroyed his entire cast.

New Gameoverse Shorts Are Still Better Than No New Gameoverse

Gobbles’ Atrocity, unlike the first episode of Gameoverse, was animated by the skilled team at Smallbu Animation. Instead of simply promoting merchandise with a typical social media post, Glitch Productions and Ross O’Donovan created a funny new ad, giving fans eager for more Kit and her friends’ adventures exactly what they wanted.

The first episode of Gameoverse is almost flawless, featuring a fantastic villain, Warrick, voiced by Dragon Ball veteran Christopher Sabat. But Sabat isn’t the only highlight – the episode is full of compelling, well-developed characters that viewers will be eager to see again in future installments. This new series is a complete revamp of the shorter episodes released in 2013, and it’s unlikely fans will have to wait another thirteen years for more Gameoverse content.
