Is The World War Z Sequel Finally Happening?

Although the first World War Z movie did well at the box office, a sequel has been stuck in development for years. Several directors, including J.A. Bayona and David Fincher, have been considered for the project, but nothing has come together. Despite these difficulties, Paramount Pictures recently announced at CinemaCon that a new World War Z film is being planned. However, very few details are known, and it’s unclear if any of the original cast, like Brad Pitt, will be involved.

Paramount likely wants Brad Pitt to return for another World War Z film. He’s still a major movie star, as proven by the success of F1 last year, and his recognizable face would be a great asset for marketing. While the zombies are the main attraction, having a famous actor like Pitt promote the film would definitely help. It might be even more interesting to see who directs the sequel.
