Similar to how they celebrated Ghost of Tsushima, people in Japan are enthusiastically welcoming this week’s PS5 game, Ghost of Yotei, by providing tours of real-world locations and areas of Hokkaido that served as inspiration for the game.
Starting in November 2025, the Ghost of Yotei Hokkaido Tour is a five-hour trip that includes visits to Noboribetsu Date Jidaimura, Hell Valley, and Lake Toya, as well as a scenic view of Mount Yotei. The tour costs £100 and you can book it now.
You’ll travel back in time to the Edo period, where you can explore the streets, enjoy samurai performances, and even meet ninjas. Then, you’ll experience the powerful volcanic landscape of Hell Valley, with its steaming vents and rocky cliffs that inspired the game’s foggy fortresses. Afterwards, take some time to relax at Lake Toya, enjoy the traditional onsen (hot springs), and admire the view of Mt. Yōtei in the distance.
Completing the tour will reward you with a physical Onamori Charm. This charm is used to enhance Atsu’s abilities within the game. You can find more details about the tour on the Klook booking page.
You’ll be able to play Ghost of Yotei on PS5 starting October 2nd, before the in-game tour kicks off. Our Ghost of Yotei PS5 review gave it a 9/10, and we said: “Sucker Punch has truly excelled, delivering a sequel for the ages with enhanced combat, a compelling story, and fantastic use of the PS5’s capabilities. Ghost of Yotei is their best game yet.”
