Amazon has revealed more actors joining the cast of its upcoming “God of War” TV series. The latest announcement confirms who will portray the characters Modni, Magni, Gna, and Thrud in the live-action show.
Ólafur Darri Ólafsson has been cast as Thor, and now the actors playing his children have been announced. Additionally, Gna, known as the Valkyrie Queen from the game God of War Ragnarök (where she’s a challenging optional boss), will also appear.
- Modi is played by Louis Cunningham (Marie Antoinette, Bridgerton):
- Magi is played by Ben Chapple (Playing for Keeps, Good Cop/Bad Cop)
- Thrud is played by Island Austin (I Can Only Imagine 2)
- Gna is played by Evelyn Miller (Foundation, Gangs of London, Doctor Who)
The news comes after the first look at the show, featuring Kratos and Atreus in a scene from the beginning of the 2018 God of War game, where Kratos is teaching Atreus how to hunt. It has received some criticism, particularly from the original God of War creator, David Jaffe, who raised several concerns.
Kratos and his son, Atreus, travel together to scatter the ashes of their beloved wife and mother, Faye. During their journey, Kratos attempts to guide Atreus in becoming a strong god, and Atreus, in turn, tries to help Kratos reconnect with his humanity.
