As a passionate enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that the star attraction for this update is none other than the legendary ’92 Lancia Delta HF Integrale Rally Car, a vehicle that has left an indelible mark on the World Rally Championship. But that’s not all! This update also includes the iconic ’87 Citroën BX 19 TRS and the modern ’21 Peugeot SUV 2008. So, gear up for a fantastic trio of European-inspired automotive marvels!
1992 Lancia Delta HF Integrale Rally Car, according to its creator, represents the peak achievement in the Lancia Delta series due to its six consecutive WRC victories. The Rally Car variant boasts enhanced handling as a result of modifications to its body reinforcements and suspension, along with the rear-biased torque distribution of its 4WD system.
The studio’s description of the Citroën BX 19 TRS highlighted how it enhanced the brand’s automobile range, all while preserving elements distinctively Citroën. In simpler terms, it incorporated contemporary features that set it apart as a Citroën vehicle.
The studio noted that considerable attention was given to the mechanical aspects as well. Although numerous models were increasingly using components similar to Peugeots, the BX stood out due to its distinctive hydropneumatic suspension system. Unlike conventional coil springs and shock absorbers, this system employs nitrogen gas and oil. This unique feature allows for the ride height to be easily adjusted and contributes to the distinct driving experience synonymous with Citroën.
The studio mentions that the Citroën BX 19 TRS introduced into Gran Turismo 7 is a tourer-style vehicle with a 1.9L gasoline engine. Although it has less horsepower than similar models of its time, this engine keeps the car lightweight. Combined with its streamlined design, it allows for faster speeds.
The contemporary Peugeot SUV model, the 2008 from 2021, leads in the new car market. Sharing the same CMP platform with its ‘208’ compact hatchback series, this model boasts an innovative driver arrangement. This includes a compact steering wheel with a flattened top and bottom, and a digital dashboard for enhanced control and visibility.
Exciting news for us racers! In the latest update to World Circuits, there are three fresh events to conquer. First up is the Sunday Cup at Willow Springs International Raceway with its Streets of Willow Springs Reverse track. Next, we’ve got the European Sunday Cup 400 at Watkins Glen Short Course. Last but not least, we’ve got a World Rally Challenge Gr.B race at Colorado Springs – Lake. Let’s buckle up and hit the tracks!
Additionally, this update includes enhancements to the Gran Turismo Sophy AI racing agent, allowing it to be utilized in Quick Race and Custom Race modes on the Alsace – Village tracks. To top it off, Scotland has been introduced as a new location for Scapes.
