A new update (version 1.69) is now available for the racing game Gran Turismo 7. The biggest addition is the incredibly powerful 2024 Yangwang U9, which has 1,286 horsepower and can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 2.36 seconds. The update also adds the ’93 Renault Twingo and the 1993 Porsche 911 Turbo S Leichtbau (964). Players can also enjoy three new World Circuit events. You can see the update in action in the trailer below.
The Leichtbau 964 is a rare and highly-regarded Porsche 911 coming to Gran Turismo 7. Only 86 were ever built, but it’s considered one of Porsche’s best models. As the third generation of the 911, the 964 kept the classic shape of earlier versions like the 901 and 930, but with 80% of its parts completely redesigned. It’s powered by a 3.6-liter flat-six engine and will be available from Legend Cars in the game.
The Renault Twingo, first released in 1993, is a small, practical car often found in the used car market. Renault created it to replace the Super 5 after the Clio was introduced in 1990. This three-door hatchback features a unique design and is powered by a 1.2-liter four-cylinder engine.
The Yangwang U9 ’24, sold through Brand Central, is an all-electric vehicle with a motor powering each wheel. This luxury performance car from BYD uses the company’s advanced e⁴ platform and delivers an impressive 960 kW (1,286 horsepower). Its DiSu-X suspension system, which combines hydraulic and pneumatic technology, provides a remarkably smooth ride. The U9 Xtreme model is expected to achieve record-breaking top speeds in 2025, further showcasing its power.
Three new races have been added to the World Circuit: the Schwarzwald League at Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve, the Hypercar Parade at Yas Marina Circuit, and the World Touring Car 900 at Autódromo de Interlagos. These races kick off the new Gran Turismo World Series Season. We’ll share the complete 2026 season schedule during a broadcast on August 15th.
Players who enjoy customizing and photography will find new content too! Collector-level 55 players and above can access Extra Menu No. 53 at the Café, featuring muscle cars, and there are even more options available in Scapes to help you create the perfect car photos.
For players wanting a tougher experience, new Power Pack challenges have been added to the Power Pack addon. These challenges offer rewards based on how many races you finish within a set time. The available rewards change every week, and you can track your progress on the World Map or in the Event Select screen’s top-right corner.
