Battlefield 6 is one of the most awaited game releases of the year, and its launch will be a significant event for gamers. This guide provides all the details on when you can start playing, listing release times for all major time zones.
Battlefield 6 Release Times: When Can You Start Playing?

- UK/Ire: 4pm BST

If you’ve already purchased the game digitally for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, or PC, you can download it now! The game takes up about 80GB of space, but expect a launch day update to increase that size.
Is There Battlefield 6 Early Access?
There won’t be any early access to the new Battlefield game. Everyone – regardless of whether they pre-ordered or have a subscription – will get access at the same time. You can find the exact release times listed above.
What Version of Battlefield 6 Should You Buy?
Okay, so Battlefield 6 is coming out with two main versions: the Standard Edition and a cooler one called the Phantom Edition. If you pre-order either one, we get a bonus called the Tombstone Pack, which includes…
- Gravedigger Soldier Skin
- “Fallen Heroes” Player Card
- “Bandolier” Weapon Charm
- “Express Delivery” Weapon Sticker
- “Hatchet” L110 Weapon Package
- “Doomsayer” Soldier Patch
- Tombstone XP Boost Set
The regular version only includes the main game itself. If you’re willing to spend an additional £30 or $30, the Phantom Edition comes with extra content, including:
- Battlefield Pro Token (the Battle Pass for Season 1, 25 Tier Skips, and exclusive cosmetics included)
- 4 Phantom Squad Soldier Skins
- 2 Weapon Packages
- Melee Knife Weapon Skin
- Vehicle Skin
- Weapon Sticker
- Weapon Charm
- Dog Tag
- Phantom XP Boost Set
If you don’t need lots of immediate options to personalize your characters in multiplayer, we suggest getting the Standard Edition. If you end up playing a lot, you can always add the Phantom Edition later, or purchase the Season 1 Battle Pass when it becomes available.
