Gwyneth Paltrow’s Daughter Apple Martin to Star in Nancy Meyers’ Movie

Apple Martin doesn’t fall far from the tree.

Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin’s daughter is set to appear in her first movie, a new film by director Nancy Meyers, according to reports from Deadline and Entertainment Weekly on May 18th.

Nancy, a recent graduate of Vanderbilt University at age 22, will appear in a new film alongside stars like Penélope Cruz, Kieran Culkin, Jude Law, Owen Wilson, Tony Hale, and Erin Doherty. Originally titled Paris Paramount, the movie is scheduled to be released in December 2027. This will be Nancy’s first major film role since The Intern in 2015.

Details about the story, which is based on Nancy Meyers’ own life, and Apple’s involvement are still secret. However, the filmmaker – famous for writing movies like The Holiday, Something’s Gotta Give, and It’s Complicated – offered a few clues about the project back in 2023.

Nancy shared on Instagram that her new movie follows a film crew and explores the enchanting side of filmmaking. She explained the movie’s title came from a quote by Ernst Lubitsch, a director she praised as a pioneer of romantic comedies.

Ernst famously quipped that he’d visited both Paris, France and Paris, Paramount, ultimately stating his preference for the latter: ‘Frankly, I prefer Paris, Paramount.’

If this upcoming romantic comedy is set in Paris, it wouldn’t be the first time Apple has generated buzz there. The model previously attended Le Bal des Débutantes in France and is also slated to be the face of Chloé for the summer of 2026, according to EW.

This past year has been full of new experiences for Apple. In addition to starting a significant new acting role in a film, she also appeared on TV for the first time in an episode of the HBO comedy Rooster, which stars Steve Carell. She also recently finished college.

Gwyneth was thrilled with her daughter, Apple, and shared her pride while celebrating Apple’s birthday on May 14th.

Gwyneth shared a sweet birthday message on Instagram, calling her partner her “ultimate dream girl.” She went on to say how much she loves them, praising their humor, silliness, kindness, and beauty.
