Xbox flagship franchise Halo will make its PS5 debut in just seven weeks.
Microsoft has announced that Halo: Combat Evolved’s single-player campaign, now remade, will be released on July 28th. This updated version revisits the classic first-person shooter originally created by Bungie.
This version of the game won’t have competitive online multiplayer, but you can play with a friend locally using split-screen, or team up with up to four players online. Online co-op will also support crossplay, letting you play with friends on different platforms.
The game’s title will be improved to fully utilize the PlayStation 5’s features, such as the DualSense controller and the enhanced PS5 Pro.
This updated version of the game doesn’t just look and play better – it also includes three brand-new missions that tell the story of how Master Chief and Sgt. Johnson first met.
The blurb reveals:
When the Master Chief’s ship crashes on the strange and massive Halo, he must help the few remaining humans fight against a powerful enemy alliance called the Covenant. With the help of his AI, Cortana, he discovers the dangerous truths about Halo and races to save all life in the galaxy from destruction.
A new trailer is now available, showcasing plenty of fresh gameplay, including footage from the prequel missions.
