The animated series “Hazbin Hotel” has turned into a powerhouse on Amazon Prime Video, largely due to its creator Vivienne Medrano. Originally starting out as a YouTube project that garnered hundreds of millions of views, the story of Charlie Morningstar has grown to be one of the most popular animated shows currently airing. This popularity has led to not only a second season but also a third and fourth season renewal. On social media, Medrano recently talked about the development of the second season and how it has become more relevant with time.
Medrano expressed her feelings about how the second season of Hazbin has become surprisingly timely, “Season two of Hazbin has unintentionally grown more topical, which irritates me because we didn’t intend it to be that way. We crafted a season about a demon manipulator seeking power/control, and coincidentally, one was elected. Apparently, it’s relevant now. It feels like writing a cartoon villain who is the embodiment of evil but then finding out that real life mirrors it. This mainly stems from the fact that when it comes out and certain events hit a little too close to home, I want everyone to know that we wrote this several years ago and didn’t anticipate it being so relevant today.
Hazbin Hotel Season 2 Details
Excitedly speaking, I’m eagerly waiting for updates on when Hazbin Hotel’s second season will grace Amazon’s streaming service! It’s possible that we might receive some fantastic news about its return later this summer, as creator Vivien Medrano has hinted at a big announcement at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. Fingers crossed that Charlie Morningstar makes a comeback and the Hellaverse shines even more brightly in 2023!
Medrano has shared more about season two of “Hazbin Hotel” than just the latest “topical” update. Last year, she revealed that this upcoming season will be significantly larger in scale compared to the first. She stated, “The size of the season is what’s impressive. We wanted it to be bigger, and so this season has more action, some really interesting, distinctive challenges, and songs across a variety of fun, diverse genres with a greater visual impact. We thought, ‘Let’s give it our all!’ It feels so expansive and majestic. Additionally, we are now more familiar with each other, and me, Sam, and Andrew [Standler] work together like a well-oiled machine. I can’t say much more except that it will be bigger and grander, there is more action, which I personally enjoy.
