Task season 2 has found its new team of FBI agents.
I’m so excited about this new HBO crime drama! It started airing in September 2025 and stars Mark Ruffalo as Tom Brandis, an FBI agent working in the Philadelphia area. He leads a team of really talented detectives – Fabien Frankel, Thuso Mbedu, and Alison Oliver. The show, called Task, was quickly renewed for a second season, and I can’t wait to see Brandis tackle a whole new set of brutal crimes with a new team. It’s going to be amazing!
According to Deadline, Harry Melling, Adam Nagaitis, and Aminah Nieves will join Mahershala Ali in season 2 of Task. Ali, who previously appeared in HBO’s True Detective and won Oscars for Moonlight and Green Book, will lead the new task force alongside the newly cast actors.
