The gaming company, DreadXP, along with the developers of Dread Delusion, Lovely Hellplace, have unveiled plans for a turn-based RPG titled Entropy, set to release on PC via Steam. This apocalyptic game is scheduled to be launched in the year 2026.
Here is an overview of the game, via DreadXP:
About
In the style of Dread Delusion’s vintage atmosphere, Entropy offers a fresh twist on eerie settings and chilling creatures. Instead of real-time, first-person combat, it introduces strategic turn-based battles reminiscent of classic JRPGs. A team of up to six mercenaries, venturing as adventurers, are tasked with stopping the demonic infiltration of their realm.
In this era nearing its end, pockets of human existence persist. There wasn’t a catastrophic event like an apocalypse that caused this; instead, it was the relentless progression of time, coupled with the puzzling infertility of our world, that brought us here. Creatures shrouded in misfortune roam the desolate lands between settlements, which are grim, reminiscent of the Middle Ages, and largely controlled by tyrants. These communities are squalid and primitive.
The story unfolds in the tranquil town of Draenog. Suddenly, a disturbance at the town gates disrupts your stage performance – it’s demons attacking! Being an ordinary actor, your makeshift prop sword will have to suffice for the moment; rally your fellow performers and prepare to protect yourselves!
Your adventure unfolds as you traverse a vast globe teeming with towns bursting with vibrant personalities. Embark on this odyssey into the underworld to halt the demonic invasion.
