Exciting Easter merchandise is coming for fans, as a popular brand partnership makes a comeback!
I’m so excited! Sanrio just announced the cutest collab ever – Peeps x Hello Kitty and Friends! You can find a whole bunch of new merch at Walmart right now. They’ve got adorable plushies of Peeps dressed as Hello Kitty and the gang, and even Hello Kitty and Kuromi dressed up like classic Peeps candies. It’s seriously the sweetest thing!
Hello Kitty’s Exclusive Easter Peeps Collaboration Lands at Walmart
The new collection features large Hello Kitty and Kuromi plushies called ‘Jump Peeps,’ which cost $89.97 each. There are also other extra-large plush toys available, like a 3-foot Hello Kitty for $70 and a 3-foot My Melody for $99.97.
Walmart now has a new collection of Peeps x Hello Kitty and Friends items, building on last year’s popular holiday line. These plush toys are made with a super-soft material and are just the right size for Easter baskets, spring gifts, or a cozy cuddle buddy!
This Peeps and Hello Kitty collaboration is one of the final releases before Hello Kitty gets a new lead designer for the first time in almost 50 years. In February, will become the new lead designer, and Yuko Yamaguchi, who has designed the character since 1980, will move into a consulting role at Sanrio.
While the new lead designer likely won’t fundamentally change the look and feel of Hello Kitty, future major releases could be noticeably different. Currently, one of the biggest Hello Kitty projects ever is being developed with New Line Cinema and Warner Bros. Animation.
The studio announced the movie back in October, revealing that Hello Kitty will be coming to theaters on July 21, 2028. This will be Hello Kitty’s first time appearing in a major motion picture, and the film promises an adventure that everyone can enjoy.
