Another Noteworthy Avalanche Software Update
The recent hiring suggests Avalanche Software is preparing to showcase a new project and launch a marketing campaign. Typically, companies hire video capture artists specifically to create footage for trailers and promotional materials, indicating a reveal is likely coming soon. Everything seems to be falling into place.
There’s been speculation that Hogwarts Legacy 2 might come out in 2027 or 2028. The game is expected to connect with the new Harry Potter TV series on HBO, which is scheduled to premiere on December 25, 2026. This timing would allow the game to be released in 2027, potentially in the first few months, similar to how the first game launched in early 2023. Given this timeline, we can expect an announcement about the sequel sometime in 2026, and recent updates suggest that’s likely to happen soon.
