Remember Assassin’s Creed Hexe? Ubisoft first revealed it in 2022, at the same time as Assassin’s Creed Shadows, and it’s been quietly worked on ever since, as far as we know.
According to VGC, the creative director of the project, Clint Hocking, has left. This likely happened because Ubisoft is currently restructuring the Assassin’s Creed team with major changes in leadership.
According to the report, Hexe production will continue as planned, even without Hocking. Jean Guesdon, the new creative director for the project, will now be in charge.
Just to refresh your memory, Jean Guesdon previously led the creative direction for both Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag and Assassin’s Creed Origins, which suggests Hexe is being developed by a talented and experienced team.
Naturally, people will wonder what this news means for the game, Hexe. We haven’t seen anything about it yet, but it’s been in development for quite a while – a few years, at least.
Hexe is definitely a game to watch. Ubisoft has described it as a fresh approach to the series, hinting at a more story-focused and frightening experience compared to previous installments.
The leadership change might delay the release of Hexe, but thankfully the project hasn’t been cancelled despite the publisher’s recent changes.
