Emilie Kiser’s family are leaning on love.
Emilie’s 3-year-old son, Trigg, tragically drowned in their backyard pool while with his father, Brady Kiser, seven months ago. Despite the heartbreaking loss, Emilie says her family continues to support and love Brady.
Someone commented on Emily’s TikTok—which showed her Christmas vacation with family in California—asking about how her family gets along with her husband. They wanted to know if her family is polite, upset, or what they think of him.
Emilie responded that her whole family is very close to him. She explained that their strong and constant love for him and Trigg has really brought them together as a family.
After staying off social media for a few months following the death of her dog, Trigg, in May, Emilie returned to TikTok in September. Since then, the 26-year-old, who shares 8-month-old son Theodore Kiser with Brady, has been sharing how she and her family are coping with their grief.
Emilie told her followers she was happy to be back online and missed their daily interactions. She expressed her appreciation for the community they’ve built together and hopes to rebuild connections while also offering support to others facing similar challenges.

She admitted things aren’t easy, but explained that creating content is actually helping her cope. She said she’s happy to reconnect with her audience, though she’s unsure how much she’ll be able to share, particularly when it comes to processing her grief.
Since then, Emilie has openly shared her experiences coping with loss, including both the good and difficult parts of her healing process.
She shared on Instagram that she recently finished a two-hour counseling session—her longest one yet—and found it both challenging and beneficial. They discussed many topics, including understanding her feelings and dealing with the guilt that can come with them.

For Emilie, the guilt occurs when she’s feeling more positive emotions.
She explained that one of the most difficult aspects of grief, beyond the loss itself, is giving yourself permission to feel joy again. It’s also about letting emotions simply be – sadness, happiness, anger, guilt, shame, or hurt – and allowing yourself to experience them fully without needing to analyze or fix them. It’s about being okay with whatever you’re feeling.
She also offered support to others facing similar difficulties, saying, “Thinking of anyone who’s currently going through a tough time and sending them my love.”
