How Nicole Kidman Spent First Thanksgiving After Keith Urban Breakup

Nicole Kidman is focusing on quality time with her family.

Following her divorce filing from Keith Urban, actress Nicole Kidman shared a look at her Thanksgiving celebration – her first major holiday since September, when she ended their 19-year marriage.

Nicole Kidman shared a photo on Instagram on November 28th showing her with a large group before a 5-mile charity run in Nashville. She was joined by her and Keith Urban’s daughters, 17-year-old Sunday Rose and 14-year-old Faith, and the whole group wore matching shirts with a turkey design, featuring the event’s logo and their race numbers.

The Academy Award-winning actress, who shares 32-year-old Bella and 30-year-old Connor Cruise with her former husband Tom Cruise, appeared to be enjoying the holiday season, captioning a photo with, “So thankful… xx.”

TopMob News reported in September that Nicole and Keith, both 58, had been living apart since early summer. At that time, sources confirmed Nicole was staying in their Nashville home with their daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret, while Keith had moved into a different house in the same city.

Nicole recently gave a glimpse into her personal life as she goes through her divorce. While talking with Ariana Grande for Interview magazine on October 19th, the actress said she was doing okay and that her Practical Magic 2 co-stars helped her a lot on set over the summer, as she was just starting to separate from her spouse.

In a recent interview published on November 24th, she described feeling safe and loved while working with Sandra Bullock, Joey King, and Maisie Williams, explaining that she had a strong connection with all of them.

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban quietly separated and began living separately around the start of summer, according to TopMob News. Several significant events over the summer then led to their eventual divorce filing.

His High and Alive World Tour began in Alabama, and he toured throughout the U.S., Canada, and Australia all summer long.

I remember seeing them together at the FIFA Club World Cup in Nashville last year – they seemed so happy, genuinely laughing and smiling. It was a really lovely moment.

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban celebrated their 19th wedding anniversary in June. Kidman shared a photo of them with the sweet message, “Happy Anniversary Baby.” Urban responded with a heart emoji, but didn’t make a separate post of his own.

People were surprised when the country singer suddenly stopped an interview after a question about the connection between Nicole Kidman and Zac Efron in the movie A Family Affair.

A radio host on Australia’s Mix 102.3’s Hayley & Max in the Morning wondered how Keith Urban feels when he sees his wife, Nicole Kidman, filming romantic scenes with younger actors like Zac Efron, given her frequent appearances in popular movies and TV shows.

Suddenly, Urban disappeared from the call.

A staff member announced that he was no longer connected on Zoom, and they believed his team had intentionally ended the call to avoid answering a particular question.

His rep didn’t respond to TopMob’s request for comment at the time.

TopMob News has discovered that actress Nicole Kidman is applying for Portuguese residency, and her husband, Keith Urban, is planning to do the same.

According to a source familiar with the matter, Keith couldn’t attend the appointment in Portugal because he’s currently touring the U.S. Applying for the visa requires a personal appearance, so he’ll submit his application when his tour schedule allows.

At the time, the source said both planned to maintain a permanent residence in Nashville as well.

In a recent interview, the couple’s oldest daughter, Sunday Rose, revealed that her parents have just two main rules at home.

She explained to Nylon that she wasn’t allowed to pursue fashion-related jobs until she turned 16. She also said her parents always prioritized school, which frustrated her at the time, but she now appreciates those rules because they helped her stay focused and grounded.

Nicole Kidman posted a collection of summer photos on Instagram featuring her daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret, but her husband wasn’t included in the pictures.

“Summer memories,” the actress wrote. “Now back to school.”

In August, her attorney drafted a child support document as part of their parenting plan, outlining that Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban would share custody of their daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret.

The Oscar-winning actor was designated as the main caregiver, with the children living with their mother for 306 days each year and with their father (Keith Urban) every other weekend, totaling 59 days.

Neither will pay child support, according to the doc obtained by TopMob News.

Despite being divorced, the parents will maintain a loving, stable, and supportive relationship with each child. They agree to avoid speaking negatively about each other or either family, and will encourage their children to love and feel comfortable with both parents and families.

Urban finalized their divorce agreement, officially notarizing it in August, according to documents obtained by TopMob News.

According to the document, Nicole Kidman plans to divorce him because they have differences they can’t resolve. The agreement also specifies that neither of them will receive financial support from the other after the divorce.

The same date, he also signed off on the Parenting Plan.

One week after Urban, the actress finalized the divorce paperwork by getting it notarized and signing the parenting plan.

A judge ordered both celebrities to attend a parenting seminar, unless they request and are granted an exception, according to documents obtained by TopMob News.

Okay, so she signed the papers, which is huge, but then I saw pictures from the Academy Museum gala and she was still wearing the ring! Still! It’s driving me crazy – what does it mean? Is it a message? A last little hope? I’ve been staring at those photos for hours, trying to figure it out. It’s just…confusing and I can’t stop thinking about it!

The couple, who began dating in 2005, recently broke up, according to TopMob News. The split was kept private.

The actress known for Big Little Lies has officially filed for divorce, stating that they separated on September 30, 2025.

The couple officially filed their divorce agreement and parenting plan with a Tennessee court for approval on the same day.
