HoYoverse, the company behind popular games like Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail, has a couple of new games coming soon. One is a monster-collecting RPG called Honkai: Nexus Anima, and the other is their first attempt at a life simulation game. This life sim, called Petit Planet, is about to begin its first public test, letting players experience its unique world for the first time.
Petit Planet is a relaxing life simulation game where you care for your own planet in a charming, expansive universe. It’s similar to Animal Crossing: New Horizons, but features the stunning anime-inspired art style fans of HoYoverse have come to love. The game is launching on multiple platforms, and HoYoverse is starting with a closed beta test. They recently announced the first beta will begin on November 7th, and you can still register for a chance to play it early!
How to Sign Up for the Petit Planet Closed Beta Test
Starting November 7th, a special test for the game Petit Planet will be available on both PC and iOS devices. If you’re interested in trying it out, you can sign up by completing a survey on the official Petit Planet website. While not everyone who completes the survey will be chosen for this early access test, it’s the best way to show your interest.
Get ready to explore the Starsea! The “Petit Planet Coziness Test” begins on November 7, 2025! Petit Planet is a brand-new, free-to-play life simulation game from HoYoverse, available on multiple platforms. Create your dream life among the stars!

This first closed beta will give a limited preview of what it’s like to play Petit Planet, including some of the multiplayer and social features planned for the game. Keep in mind that any progress you make during this test won’t transfer over to the final version when it releases. HoYoverse hasn’t announced exactly how many players will be selected, but they’ve described this test as “small-scale,” suggesting only a limited number of people will get to participate early on.
HoYoverse has announced the date for the first closed beta of Petit Planet and shared some exciting updates. They’re working to make the game available on more platforms, like potentially Android, in addition to PC and iOS. They also plan to add features that will help players connect and build a strong community within the game.

This new game seems like a relaxing and charming space-themed alternative to Animal Crossing. Although you play as a human, the planets are full of cute creatures similar to the villagers in that game. You can create and customize your own planet, much like an island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and visit friends in a central social area called the Galactic Bazaar. There are also rhythm-based mini-games to enjoy, and a closed beta will let players try some of these features out. With no new Animal Crossing game currently announced, Petit Planet could be a fantastic way to get that same cozy, creative experience.
You can now sign up for Petit Planet! While there’s no set deadline, the first test phase starts on November 7th, so don’t wait – register quickly to try out this new life simulation game from HoYoverse.
