It’s been over a year and a half since Yoshihiro Togashi added new chapters to his popular series, Hunter x Hunter. Though he’s mentioned its return in Weekly Shonen Jump, fans haven’t had a firm date for new releases after the last one in 2024. Good news for manga readers: the continuation of the Succession Contest Arc will be arriving soon! Publisher Shueisha has officially announced that chapter 411 of Hunter x Hunter will appear in the magazine sooner than many expected.
The popular manga Hunter x Hunter is officially coming back! The new chapter will be released in Japan on June 29th in issue #31 of Weekly Shonen Jump. This installment will continue the story with Kurapika and will include a new color illustration by the author, Yoshihiro Togashi. Togashi has been hinting at working on several chapters, and it seems this isn’t a one-time return – more chapters will be released regularly, similar to Berserk. Thanks to updates on Togashi’s social media, fans have a good idea of how many chapters to expect, and it looks like we’re in for a lengthy continuation of the series.
Hunter x Hunter’s Long Return
Togashi, the artist behind the popular manga, recently shared that he’s currently writing chapter 431. Considering his progress, fans can likely expect around twenty more chapters before another break in the series as the current storyline continues. Interestingly, even though the manga is scheduled to return later this month, it doesn’t guarantee that the main characters Gon and Killua will be featured right away.
It’s been a long time since we’ve seen the young hunters featured in Hunter x Hunter. The recent story has mainly followed Kurapika and his involvement in a royal succession war. With only four princes left, this storyline might be nearing its conclusion, especially with Togashi planning to release several new chapters. This arc began with fourteen princes, so it’s been a difficult and deadly competition to determine the next king.
Good news for fans of Hunter x Hunter: the manga is coming back later this month! However, there are no current plans for a new anime series. The last anime adaptation, produced by Studio Madhouse, ended in 2014, and we haven’t seen Gon and his friends on screen since. Despite this, the series remains popular, with fans eagerly discussing whether a potential new anime will continue the story from where it left off or begin a full reboot.
