IDW Sets Godzilla’s Biggest Season Yet With a Release Slate Fit for the King of the Monsters (Exclusive)

Godzilla is famous as the King of the Monsters, but people often overlook just how popular and influential he’s become. It’s not just about his massive size in the movies – though he is huge! He’s a cultural icon with a long history on the big screen, and even more on the way with films like Godzilla Minus Zero and Godzilla x Kong: Supernova. He’s also a major force in television with Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, and dominates the comic book world thanks to IDW Publishing, who are doing incredibly well with their Godzilla series – and it’s about to get even bigger, with a sneak peek coming soon.

IDW has a lot of exciting Godzilla content planned for the next few months! The giant monster continues his journey across the US in Godzilla Vs. America: New York, and he’s putting his own spin on a classic story in Godzilla’s Monsterpiece Theatre Presents: The Kaiju of Oz. We’ve got previews of all these titles, plus a look at other great Godzilla comics, including the highly anticipated The Horror of Godzilla #1. Godzilla’s Biggest Series is Back With Godzilla #13 (Exclusive)

The latest issue of Godzilla, #13, starts a new story arc for the popular series and is a great place to jump in for new readers! Written by Tim Seeley with art by Hendry Prasetya, this issue features a unique twist: Godzilla is now living inside the body of a teenage G-Force operative named Jacen Braid. Though they were once enemies, Godzilla and Jacen are starting to understand each other. As Jacen learns about his past, he discovers a troubling connection to the U.S. government, potentially setting up a conflict between him, Godzilla, and America. Meanwhile, Nuki, Rumi, Incense, and Riviera race against time to contain the monster they accidentally created.

The current Godzilla comic series is proving to be a really thrilling era for the monster, and we can’t wait to see where the story goes after the first twelve issues! You can pre-order the next issue now, with the deadline being August 24th. Take a look at the awesome cover art for Godzilla #13 by artists Bob Eggelton, Ito, Jesse Hernandez, and J Gonzo!
