April is shaping up to be a busy month for PlayStation 5 owners, with exciting new games like Pragmata and Saros set to launch and compete for your time.
But don’t sleep on Mouse P.I. For Hire!
The new first-person shooter, featuring a unique rubber hose animation style, launches on April 16th. It’s shaping up to be a fun blend of the fast-paced action of DOOM and the charming visuals of Cuphead, and it appears to be much more ambitious than originally shown.
Here’s what the press release says:
Mouse P.I. For Hire is a fast-paced, first-person shooter with a unique look inspired by 1930s cartoons. The game features hand-drawn, black and white visuals that create a classic, vintage feel. Players will investigate a thrilling detective story full of corruption, explore vibrant levels, and enjoy an original jazz soundtrack. You’ll also have access to a fun arsenal of cartoon weapons and powerful upgrades.
The game promises lots of mysteries to unravel and items to discover as you investigate diverse locations, ranging from shadowy city streets and historic movie studios to grand opera houses, dangerous swamps, and hidden underground sewers.
The game will likely feature a progression system similar to the Metroid series, meaning you’ll be able to revisit earlier areas with new abilities to discover hidden secrets and unlock more content as you get stronger.
Featuring Troy Baker’s voice acting and more than 20 levels, this game is a must-have for your April purchases.
