A recent teaser for Invincible Season 4 playfully mimics Michael Bay’s Transformers, featuring a powerful speech by Peter Cullen’s character, Thaedus, to the Coalition before their planned attack on the Viltrumites’ home planet. The teaser includes quick glimpses of scenes, and one particular reunion has worried fans.
When Nolan last talked to Debbie, she refused to accept his apology and asked him to leave, telling him not to return. This harsh rejection made Nolan wonder if they would ever reconcile.
I noticed something in the new teaser that gives me hope! It looks like these two characters will at least have one more conversation before the season wraps up.
Invincible Spoils Nolan and Debbie’s Second Reunion
During Thaedus’s speech in the latest Invincible trailer, viewers were surprised to see Debbie standing with Nolan inside what looked like a spaceship. Many fans immediately assumed this meant she’d be in Episode 7, “Don’t Do Anything Rash,” even though the trailer also showed an impending attack on Viltrum.

Just a heads-up: not everything you see in this preview is from the next episode, “Don’t Do Anything Rash.” Some of it actually comes from the season finale. Also, if you look closely, Nolan and Debbie are looking at Earth, not Talescria, which makes it even less likely Debbie will appear in Episode 7.
Fans are upset about Debbie showing up, because it suggests she’s moving past a really hurtful fight with Nolan. It’s surprising to see her even willing to be near him, especially after everything she said, and even more shocking that she’d agree to travel on a spaceship with him.

It’s been about four months since Debbie and Nolan last talked, so she might be calm enough now to be around him. However, viewers are worried that she’ll forgive him and they’ll get back together before the season ends.
Will Nolan and Debbie Reconcile?
As a longtime reader of the comics, I know Nolan and Debbie do eventually get back together, wrapping things up after the Viltrumite War. But honestly, even in the source material, that reconciliation always felt a little too neat, considering everything Nolan put Debbie through. That’s why I was so pleased to see the show take a different approach and have Debbie rightfully challenge Nolan when he tried to make amends. It felt much more earned and satisfying to watch her push back.
Some fans didn’t want Nolan and Debbie to get back together, and a reunion seemed impossible unless the show drastically changed the original story. Others wished it would take more time for Debbie to forgive Nolan. But a fast reconciliation isn’t going to happen, mainly because of Paul.

The comic book version of Paul had a sudden, unseen breakup with Debbie during a time jump, but that feels unlikely to happen in the show. The series has given Paul and Debbie much more development, both individually and as a couple – they’re even planning to move in together! Paul’s also become closer to Oliver and the others, with Oliver even complimenting his spaghetti in one episode.
It wouldn’t make sense for Debbie to suddenly end things with Paul without addressing their relationship, particularly after how strongly she turned down Nolan. Her being in space with Paul raises questions – why would she be there if she’d simply cut him off?
This could be Nolan genuinely trying to apologize, and Debbie might be more willing to accept it this time. However, it probably won’t lead to them rekindling their relationship like they do in the comics. It would be a positive change for the storyline if Debbie’s forgiveness felt more earned, and if her decision to end things with Paul wasn’t so quickly dismissed.
