The animated series Invincible is continuing its story with Season 4, now streaming on Prime Video. The latest episodes have introduced a new direction for the show, and the next installment promises a completely original storyline not found in the original comics. Things have been incredibly difficult for Mark Grayson, and it looks like he’s about to face even more challenges.
A preview of Episode 4 from Invincible Season 4 has been released before its premiere on Prime Video this Wednesday. The clip reveals a slight change from the comic books: Mark will be fighting a new battle in Hell, and a character from the show’s first season will return. You can watch the preview clip below for more details.
When Does Invincible Season 4 Episode 4 Come Out?
Hell of an episode coming Wednesday.

The fourth episode of Invincible Season 4, titled “Hurm,” will premiere on Prime Video on Wednesday, March 25th. The episode will feature the return of Clancy Brown as Damien Darkblood, a character previously sent to Hell by Cecil in Season 1. He briefly appeared at the end of Season 3, and this new episode will finally explore his return. What’s exciting is that this storyline is completely original for the animated series.
Season 4 of Invincible seems to be setting up a brand new storyline, and the return of Damien Darkblood is a welcome surprise. In the original comic books, his investigation into Nolan’s secrets led to him being exiled to Hell without a satisfying conclusion. Because the animated series revealed those secrets early on, bringing Damien back allows creator Robert Kirkman to give his character a proper and fulfilling story arc – something the comics didn’t do.
What’s Next for Invincible Season 4?

It’s currently unknown what Mark will be doing in the next episode, as he’s just been assigned a new job in Hell. This adds to the challenges Mark faces, especially since Nolan and Allen are in space preparing for a war with the Viltrumites while Mark handles threats on Earth. The story hints that Mark will soon have to deal with even bigger dangers beyond Earth as well.
Season 4 of Invincible will really put Mark through the wringer. The more he tries to protect people, the more danger they seem to face. He’s battling old enemies and starting to question if there’s a permanent way to solve the problems he keeps facing. With all of this happening, Invincible is clearly building towards some major events.
