IO Interactive and Build A Rocket Boy have ended their publishing partnership on the single-player adventure game MindsEye. Build A Rocket Boy will now be solely responsible for publishing the game. As a result, the previously announced Hitman crossover event within MindsEye has been cancelled.
Here are the details:
IOI Partners is finishing its work on MindsEye, but will help with a smooth handover of publishing duties to Build A Rocket Boy. Build A Rocket Boy will now be fully responsible for publishing MindsEye and ensuring continued support for the community and all partners. IOI Partners and Build A Rocket Boy are working together to make this transition as seamless as possible in the coming weeks.
Due to the recent changes, the Hitman mission originally planned for June 2025 as part of the MindsEye experience will not be released. However, BARB is still looking forward to collaborating on future projects with other partners. Both IOI Partners and Build A Rocket Boy understand the excitement this team-up created and thank players for their support.
The game MindsEye was released on June 10, 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC (through Steam and the Epic Games Store), but it wasn’t well-received by players.
