Taylor Swift fans might be down bad after hearing this news.

According to TopMob News, the singer will not be performing at the American Music Awards on May 25. However, she will still be honored at the show, which will be hosted by Queen Latifah and held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Taylor Swift, who already holds the record for the most American Music Awards with 40 wins, is nominated for eight more awards this year thanks to her 2025 album, The Life of a Showgirl.

Taylor Swift is nominated for several awards at this year’s AMAs, including Artist of the Year and Best Female Pop Artist. Her album is also up for Album of the Year and Best Pop Album.

Her first single, “Fate of Ophelia,” was nominated for three awards: Best Pop Song, Song of the Year, and Best Music Video. Additionally, “Elizabeth Taylor” is up for the newly created Song of the Summer award.

Taylor Swift is competing against Sabrina Carpenter, Alex Warren, Ella Langley, and her former partner Harry Styles in multiple categories. If she wins all eight awards, she’ll equal the record for most wins in a single night, currently held by Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston.
