Rock It Games and Sickhead Games have released Jaleco Sports: Goal! 2 on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch. The game is available for purchase now at a price of $7.99.
Here is an overview of the game, via Rock It Games:
Jaleco Sports: Goal! 2 is a collection of four soccer games. It features three versions of Goal! originally released for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) and Famicom in 1989 – one each for the US, Europe, and Japan. The collection also includes Super Goal! 2, a title for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) released in 1992.
The game Goal! Two changed the way the game looked compared to the original Goal!. Instead of seeing everything from directly above, Goal! Two used an angled perspective and allowed the screen to scroll as you played.
We’ve expanded Goal! Two to include eight more teams, bringing the total to 24. Each team now has 15 players, and you can select your starting lineup of 11 based on their individual stats.
Building on the first game, Super Goal! 2 for the Super Nintendo added a side-scrolling view of the field, 24 international teams to choose from, instant replays to relive the action, and a radar showing the entire playing area. Players also had more control and could use four different defensive strategies.
