James Bond Rumored Actor Officially Shuts Down Auditioning for 007

We should hear who’s been cast in the role soon, now that auditions are underway. One actor who was previously mentioned as a possibility has confirmed he won’t be taking the part.

I’ve been following the search for the next James Bond with so much excitement, and it’s been fascinating to see who’s been auditioning! I recently heard that Tom Francis, who was fantastic in Sunset Boulevard, was giving it a shot, and there was a buzz about Cosmo Jarvis from Shogun potentially being in the running. But it sounds like we can cross Jarvis off the list – his spokesperson just confirmed he’s not interested in the role, which is a shame, but at least clears things up. The search continues, and I’m eager to see who they choose!

The Search for the New 007 Is Underway

I just heard directly that Cosmo isn’t being considered for the James Bond role, and he’s not even trying out for it. A spokesperson was pretty clear about that, so it seems like that rumor can be put to rest.

Nicholas Jarvis is a well-known actor, especially for his role as John Blackthorne in the popular FX historical drama series, and he’s set to return for the show’s second season. He’s also appeared in several films, including Lady Macbeth, Calm With Horses, The Alto Knights, and Persuasion. Currently, he’s filming Young Stalin, a new biographical movie where he plays a young Joseph Stalin.

If Not Cosmo Jarvis, Who Will Be the Next James Bond?

So far, Francis is the only actor confirmed to have auditioned for the role of the next James Bond. While other actors like Bill Skarsgård (known for Frankenstein), Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kraven the Hunter), and Callum Turner (Eternals) are also being talked about, it’s unknown if they’re actually participating in the recent auditions.

Barbara Broccoli, who is leading the search for the next James Bond, has explained what she’s looking for in an actor. Her main priority is finding someone who truly embodies the role once they put on the suit. Reports also suggest Amazon wants a younger actor who could star in a series of five or more films, similar to Daniel Craig’s run ending with No Time to Die.

Denis Villeneuve, known for directing films like Dune, is set to direct the next James Bond movie, which will be the 26th in the series. Steven Knight, the creator of Peaky Blinders, is writing the script, and Tanya Lapointe is executive producing. So far, the filmmakers haven’t revealed who will star in the film.

The next James Bond movie does not yet have a set release date.
