Jason Biggs and Jenny Mollen are closing their romantic chapter.
After almost 20 years together, actors Jason Biggs, 48, and Jenny Mollen, 46, have separated, a representative confirmed to TopMob News on May 14th.
Even though they’ve separated, the representative stated that Biggs and Mollen are still friendly and committed to raising their sons, Sid, 12, and Lazlo, 8, together.
The couple’s breakup was announced six months after they were last seen together at the 2025 Torino Film Festival in Italy. While there, they appeared happy and together, posing for pictures while holding hands.
However, their most recent public interaction was a few months later in March, when Mollen created a video montage of Biggs’ best career moments for a popular online challenge.
Mollen shared on Instagram that she attempted to participate in a 90s trend, but she mistakenly created a memorial post for Jason Biggs instead.
To which Biggs responded in the comments, “This is, just, wow.”
Biggs and Mollen first met in 2007 while auditioning for My Best Friend’s Girl.
Actually, Mollen shared that she was the one who brought the couple together, even though she was hesitant about working with the actor on their 2008 movie.
Mollen remembered thinking, ‘Jason Biggs? The guy from American Pie?’ when she first met him. She admitted she wasn’t immediately supportive because he was already more famous than her, and she wanted to focus on her own success. She appeared on Live! With Kelly and Mark in 2023 to share this story.
Despite her initial reservations, Mollen found him genuinely funny and talented after reviewing his audition, which led her to agree to work with him.

Mollen playfully shared that she and her husband connected quickly, marrying just nine months after they first met – in the parking lot of a FedEx Kinkos in Calabasas. She simply stated, “It all worked out.”
Despite their quick romance and marriage of less than a year, the author of I Like You Just The Way I Am was open about their flaws and imperfections.
She explained in 2016 to People magazine that their relationship wasn’t about competing for attention, but rather stemmed from both of them dealing with feelings of abandonment from their childhoods.
Let’s be real, my relationship had some seriously unhealthy patterns, and I’ll admit it wasn’t always pretty. Looking back, I realize a big part of that stemmed from both Jason and me having been raised by parents who were, well, pretty self-centered. It created a dynamic we had to really work through.
Despite past challenges, the couple had always gotten through tough times together. In 2019, Biggs publicly thanked Mollen for supporting him through his battle with alcoholism, which began before he got sober in 2017. He told US Weekly that their relationship was stronger than ever at that point.
After having children in 2014 and 2017, Biggs said he and his partner had adjusted to a new normal and learned how to prioritize their relationship. He explained, “We’ve figured out how to make time for each other.”

Jason Biggs realized Jenny Mollen was the person he wanted to marry after they acted together in the 2007 film My Best Friend’s Girl. They dated for only six months before Jason proposed, and they were married in April 2008.

In May 2018, Jason celebrated his wife Jenny’s birthday with a heartfelt social media post. He playfully called her his “baby momma” and “the love of my life,” also teasing her zodiac sign. Jason detailed all the things he did to make her day special – flowers, a card, dinner, a gift, and even gluten-free cupcakes – and topped it off by surprising her with a visit from her best friend who flew in from Los Angeles. He jokingly declared his efforts complete once he’d shared the celebration online, finishing with a happy birthday message.

Jenny hilariously revealed on The Drew Barrymore Show in May 2021 that she playfully calls Jason “Jadon” on Instagram. It started because her phone’s autocorrect changed his name, and she began using the nickname as a lighthearted way to playfully tease him. She joked that since she’s often known as “Jason Biggs’ wife,” calling him “Jadon” felt like a fun way to subtly put him in his place and claim him as her husband on social media.

Jason and his wife have two sons, Sid (born in 2014) and Lazlo (born in 2017). He’s even hinted at wanting another child, jokingly telling People magazine in 2018 that he’ll retire once he has a daughter.

Most expectant parents don’t experience situations like those depicted in the 2016 comedy Amateur Night. However, Jenny actually played Jason’s on-screen wife who was pregnant in the funny movie, just a year before she gave birth to their second child, Lazlo.

Jenny and Jason introduced their baby, Lazlo, to Eugene Levy – who famously played Jason’s dad in the American Pie movies. Jason shared a photo on Instagram in January 2018, joking that he couldn’t get Lazlo to laugh until “the big guns” – Eugene Levy – arrived. The photo shows the whole family happily laughing together, with Jenny lovingly holding baby Lazlo.

Jason and Jenny appeared together in a TV series based on Jenny’s memoir, I Like You Just the Way I Am. The funny show followed a wife (Jenny) trying to manage her life, with her supportive husband (Jason) by her side. Busy Philipps and Sharon Lawrence also starred, but the series only ran for one season.

Imagine The Newlywed Game, but much more challenging! In 2018, Jason and Jenny showed just how well they work together while hosting the Lifetime game show My Partner Knows Best. As Jenny jokingly explained on TODAY while promoting the show, “It’s incredibly hard to work together. Like any marriage, we wanted to see how strong our love really was.”

Food blogger Jenny celebrated her husband Jason’s birthday on May 12, 2021, calling him her “absolute favorite.” In an Instagram post, she thanked him for being her lifelong partner, mentor, and inspiration, jokingly apologizing for posting a lot of pictures of him while under the influence of Ambien.

Jenny wrote about Jason’s past behavior of following his ex-girlfriend. Jason described it as a humorous moment they both now look back on, and it even made its way into Jenny’s books. He jokingly told Us Weekly that time changes people – both him and the woman he used to follow now have children. He added that she felt it was important to acknowledge that she’s moved on from that experience and is a different person now.

Jenny and Jason still enjoy watching reality TV together, even though Jenny previously co-hosted the Bachelor In Paradise After Show with Chris Harrison back in 2015. Jason jokingly revealed in a 2019 People magazine home tour that he sometimes pretends to watch sports on ESPN, but they actually spend that time watching shows like The Bachelor and Real Housewives.

Jason and Jenny, parents of two, know that a good marriage takes work and dedication. They appeared on Hannah Brown’s season of The Bachelorette in 2019 to offer advice to the contestants about how to properly care for a pregnant partner, emphasizing that childbirth isn’t always glamorous!

In October 2018, Jason celebrated one year of sobriety and shared his journey with addiction on social media. He explained that he first attempted to get sober over five years prior, when his struggles with alcohol and drugs became overwhelming. Jason admitted that overcoming addiction was incredibly difficult, but he was immensely proud to have reached a year of sobriety. He encouraged anyone facing similar challenges to seek help and remember they aren’t alone, stating, “We can do this.”
Jenny celebrated her husband’s achievement with a heartfelt message. She wrote, “So proud of you today! Congratulations, my love. I know how hard you work, and I appreciate everything you do. I love you and thank you for your dedication.”

Jenny and her husband Jason are a strong team, and Jenny has been open with fans about the challenges of motherhood. In a 2017 Instagram post, she described how quickly new mothers can feel overwhelmed and question themselves, despite external pressure to appear happy. She urged anyone struggling with postpartum feelings to seek help, emphasizing that it’s okay not to feel instantly joyful.
Jenny and Jason’s passion for one another still runs deep…even if it’s a little NSFW! “When people ask what it was like having actors as parents,” Jenny joked on Instagram with a makeout pic of her and Jason, and their kids only a few feet away.

Jason and Jenny, who used to co-host a radio show on SiriusXM, are following their own advice – they’re seeing a marriage counselor! Jenny told People magazine in December 2020 that therapy has helped them maintain a good relationship, explaining, “When you work together, having a therapist is essential.”
Or, as Jason put it, “You’ve got to do it as a preemptive strike.”

Jenny and Jason, who have been married for over ten years, have maintained a strong connection, and Jenny jokingly shared that their intimacy actually increased during the pandemic. She told Us Weekly in August 2020 that the extra time together was a positive experience, bringing them even closer and providing a welcome distraction from the challenges of quarantine. She described feeling more connected and intimate with her husband than ever before.

Jason and Jenny celebrated their ten-year wedding anniversary on April 22, 2018. Jason shared his feelings in a heartfelt message, saying it was the best decision he ever made and expressing his love for Jenny with a playful hope for many more years together.
