Brett Goldstein’s love don’t cost a thing for Jennifer Lopez.
Jennifer Lopez was thrilled to discover that Jason Sudeikis was a big fan of hers even before they began collaborating on a project.
Jennifer recently told Will Marfuggi of TopMob News at the premiere of Office Romance that she knew he claimed to be a fan. She initially thought it might not be genuine, as people often say that, but she quickly realized he was sincere.
Indeed, Brett, 45, is the real deal when it comes to his appreciation for Jenny from the block.
“I’m a f–king movie guy,” he said. “I love movies and I’ve seen all her movies.”
I’m a huge fan, and honestly, I’ve followed everything Jennifer Lopez does for years! It’s so fun to see how supportive Brett is too. He was playfully listing all the things he enjoys about her work, saying he loves her music and even her podcast interviews. But the best part? He genuinely praised her watercolor paintings, calling them exceptional! It’s just lovely to see such appreciation for all her talents.
You know, I’ve been following this lovely couple for a while now, and it’s so sweet to see how much he adores Jennifer! It’s actually incredibly romantic – he was so inspired by her that he wrote the entire Netflix series Office Romance specifically with her in mind. Talk about a thoughtful gesture!
Brett explained that he and Joe Kelly wrote the initial concept while traveling by train. They were working on what would become Ted Lasso, and they wanted to collaborate on a project together during the train ride from Manchester to London.
We set out to create a classic romantic comedy, and immediately thought of Jennifer Lopez. We asked ourselves, ‘Who’s the queen of rom-coms?’ and the answer was clearly J.Lo. That’s why we decided to make a movie specifically designed to showcase her in that genre – we wanted to make the ultimate J.Lo rom-com.
The Hustlers star was stunned to learn the role had been created just for her.
Honestly, I was so touched when I heard that someone had written something specifically for me. It’s one thing to think I’d be good in a role or for a certain project, but to create something with me in mind from the very beginning? That was incredibly flattering and really took me by surprise. I mean, I knew people believed in me, but that level of thoughtfulness just meant so much.
As for where Jennifer stands on workplace romances after filming the career-centered love story?
She explained that when you’re dedicated to your work, it often takes over your life. She also pointed out that since we spend so much time at work, it’s common for people to meet their partners or develop close relationships with coworkers.
