A new look at Other Mommy has been revealed.
While at CinemaCon, the team at Screen Rant saw some new footage during a presentation from Universal and Focus Features. Here’s a description of what was shown:
The trailer opens with Chastain happily greeting her daughter at the door, excited to have lunch together. While making pasta, she reflects on their deep connection, remembering a time when they felt like one. She curiously asks her daughter if she recalls what things were like before they were together. Distracted, she accidentally burns the pasta. Chastain then expresses concern for her daughter’s loneliness and asks if she can somehow connect with her on a deeper level. A smoke alarm blares as the pasta burns. The daughter’s father rushes in to extinguish the fire, but is suddenly startled by a monstrous figure and falls out the window. He tells Chastain someone who looked exactly like her was in the house. A fast-paced series of distressing scenes follows, culminating in Chastain reassuring her daughter that she is her mother. The daughter, however, questions whether Chastain is truly her real mom or an imposter.
